Food Systems in Detroit and Oakland Could Benefit from New Findings
A new report, “Healthy Food For All: Building Equitable and Sustainable Food Systems in Detroit and Oakland “, documents the inadequate food systems of both communities and proposes a series of policy recommendations to improve food access. The report by PolicyLink, Michigan State University, and the Fair Food Network, is available at www.policylink.org.
New HUFED Center to Fund Food Enterprise
The Wallace Center was recently selected to house the USDA’s Healthy Urban Food Enterprise Development Center.
