About Us

Across the country communities, policy makers and small businesses interested in socially responsible practices have recognized the significant role that food plays in creating a healthy community. As people begin to understand the connection between community development, public health and food systems issues, the demand for fresh, affordable food has increased. Community gardens, healthy corner store initiatives and farmers markets are flourishing. And many organizations are ready to seize the opportunity to develop strong links between good food, equity and economic development.

Urban Food Link was founded by Tammy Morales to help communities and small businesses connect to resources and technical assistance for their food-related community development work.
